PIM Blankets

PIM blankets are temporary RF barriers used during passive intermodulation testing and PIM hunting. They help technicians isolate suspected external interference sources and determine whether nearby metal objects or structures are contributing to degraded wireless performance.

Available in multiple shapes and sizes, PIM blankets can be positioned in front of or behind base station antennas during controlled field testing. Larger blankets, narrow strips and complete kits support different rooftop layouts, antenna configurations and testing areas.

These portable RF barriers are used during cell-site commissioning, interference troubleshooting and network optimization. Applications include cellular towers, rooftop sites, base stations and distributed antenna systems where external PIM can affect uplink quality, coverage and capacity.
