Pim Foil

PIM foil is a lightweight, temporary RF barrier used to suppress external passive intermodulation sources during cellular site testing and troubleshooting. It helps technicians confirm whether nearby metal surfaces or nonlinear junctions are contributing to unwanted interference.

Available in multiple roll widths and portable kits, PIM mitigation foil can cover flat surfaces and suspected interference locations near base station antennas. Its flexible format supports targeted placement across rooftop hardware, equipment frames and other areas where external PIM can originate.

PIM foil is used during PIM hunting, network commissioning and wireless performance optimization. Applications include cellular towers, rooftop sites, small cells and distributed antenna systems where passive intermodulation can affect uplink quality, coverage and network capacity.
